James Barnette Hodges
James Barnette Hodges was born in Warrick County, Indiana on May 17, 1834 to parents Gentry and Polly (Staton) Hodges. James married Mary Ann "Polly" Chambers, the daughter of Abraham and Sarah (Miller) Chambers on March 9, 1834 in Warrwick County, Indiana. This union produced 11 children.

Four of James and Polly's six sons traveled to Blodgett, Missouri in 1890 and the couple eventually followed settling in Sikeston, Missouri. Spending their later years in Sikeston, no records reveal that they ever returned to Indiana. James passed away abt 1900 and Polly passed away on December 27, 1905 in Sikeston, Missouri. It is unclear where this couple is buried.
